How it Works
The basics of how Placebooker works
Place Owners
You're the owner and you're looking to reduce the time it takes to organise and communicate arrangements for sharing your place with others.
Place Administrators
You're not the owner but you're the person who has responsibility for organising and communicating arrangements for sharing the place. You would welcome any help to reduce the time it takes to be the place's administrator or custodian.
Place Bookers
You've been invited to sign up to Placebooker for a place owned or managed by someone you know. You want to know how you can use Placebooker to book.
About Placebooker Accounts
Once you have a Placebooker account, you can setup as many places as you like for you and other Placebooker account holders to share. Places that you setup are under your control and you manage who else has access to them to book, and under what conditions.
Just as you can give access to places that you control to others, others can give you access to theirs. Your single Placebooker account might include a combination of places that you control and some that you don’t. All these places are seen on your My Places page which is presented whenever you sign in.
If somebody you want to give booking access to doesn’t already have a Placebooker account, no problem, just give them access to your place by entering their name and email address. They will receive an email from Placebooker telling them what you have done and also instructions on how to sign-up. When they do, their access to your place will be confirmed.
Each place needs an administrator. Initially, it’s the person who set it up in Placebooker. That administrator role can be shared by the administrator with others. Administrators have special access to the place’s settings and options that ordinary uses do not, including control over and responsibility for any optional subscription payments. They can also book on behalf of any other user, and cancel any booking.
Placebooker is FREE to use with up to 25 users (people who can book). Each ‘place’ pays a subscription to enable more than 25 users. Place administrators have access to pages where they can select and setup an appropriate payment plan, but this isn’t necessary until the end of the free trial period.
